Shilajit, also known as asphaltum is the king of adaptogens. It is harvested as a tar like, hard substance extruding from between rocks and ledges high in the Himalayan mountains. It is collected, and in the case of the types we sell here, purified and concentrated. Very beneficial constituents like humic and fulvic acids are found in high amounts in shilajit, and only in shilajit. There are 4 major types of shilajit, Gold, Silver, Copper and Iron. There are other types such as lead shilajit but the 4 previously mentioned are the types with the biggest benefits. They get their names [Gold, Iron] from the type of earth they are taken from and other major constituents found in the rocks.
