Kava-Kava

Traditionally Ground Kava-Kava:

This is fresh and wonderful Kava-Kava from the South Pacific. Root only, and organically grown From plants that were 4 to 10 years old.

The grinds range from very fine to medium. Tonga is very finely ground, ISA and Hiwa are medium fine and PNG is medium grind.

The grind texture will determine the time that is needed to soak the Kava prior to squeezing out the Kava liquid. Below is a general rule of thumb:

Tonga - Soak at least 15 minutes.

Hiwa - Soak at least 25 minutes.

ISA - Soak at least 25 minutes.

PNG - Soak at least 40 minutes

You can soak the Kava longer, but at these numbers you will be getting 95% of the kavalactones from the liquid.
